The Club

The Seattle Seahawks were founded in 1976 and play at deafening Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, in college navy, action green and wolf grey. This is the loudest fan base in football — the famous “12s” once caused a small earthquake celebrating a Marshawn Lynch touchdown run. The franchise was built by legends like Steve Largent, Walter Jones, Cortez Kennedy and the Legion of Boom defense of Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor. Seattle has won two Super Bowls: Super Bowl XLVIII (the 43-8 demolition of Denver) and Super Bowl LX in February 2026. Searching for a Seattle Seahawks jersey, the latest Seahawks schedule or Seahawks tickets? Start with the question every fan asks each fall: when do the Seahawks play — because in Seattle, game day is a civic holiday.

Last Season (2025): The Dark Side Rises

Seattle’s 2025 season was a masterpiece: a 14-3 record, the NFC’s best mark, and a playoff march that ended in Santa Clara with a 29-13 win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX. The defense — nicknamed the “Dark Side” — held New England scoreless until the fourth quarter, piled up six sacks and three takeaways, and scored the clinching touchdown when Devon Witherspoon’s blitz forced a fumble that Uchenna Nwosu returned to the house. Kenneth Walker III ran for 135 yards and took MVP honors, Sam Darnold threw the game’s first touchdown to A.J. Barner, and Jason Myers set a Super Bowl record with five field goals. A decade after the heartbreak of Super Bowl XLIX against the same Patriots, Seattle got its revenge — and its second Lombardi.

Best Players Right Now (2026 Roster)

Sam Darnold, Quarterback (#14) — The Super Bowl-winning QB who completed one of the great career comebacks in NFL history. Calm, accurate and fearless in Macdonald’s system.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Wide Receiver (#11) — The silky route-runner who has become one of the league’s most uncoverable receivers and Darnold’s favorite target.

Cooper Kupp, Wide Receiver (#10) — The former Super Bowl MVP and Washington native; a veteran chain-mover who still finds every soft spot in a zone.

Rashid Shaheed, Wide Receiver (#15) — The deep threat and return ace who stretches defenses to breaking point.

A.J. Barner, Tight End (#88) — Scored the first touchdown of Super Bowl LX and has grown into a complete two-way tight end.

Devon Witherspoon, Cornerback (#21) — The tone-setter of the Dark Side. His blitz and forced fumble sealed the Super Bowl; his hits echo around Lumen Field.

Leonard Williams, Defensive End (#99) — The “Big Cat” anchors a ferocious front that sacked Drake Maye six times on the biggest night of the year.

Ernest Jones IV, Linebacker (#13) — The quarterback of the defense, sideline to sideline on every snap.

Jason Myers, Kicker (#5) — Five field goals in Super Bowl LX — a Super Bowl record. Ice in his veins.

Head coach: Mike Macdonald — The defensive mastermind who built the Dark Side and delivered a championship in just his second season. Note for fans: Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III now plays for Kansas City — which makes October 25 very interesting (see below).

Star Spotlight: Stories You Should Know

The redemption of Sam Darnold. Drafted third overall by the Jets, written off in New York and Carolina, reborn in Minnesota — and then a Super Bowl champion in Seattle. Darnold’s journey from “bust” to the top of the sport is the story his teammates never stopped believing in, and his steady hand (202 yards, one touchdown, zero turnovers in the Super Bowl) was exactly what the Dark Side needed.

The play that ended a decade of pain. Every Seahawks fan remembers where they were for the goal-line interception in Super Bowl XLIX. On February 8, 2026, against the same Patriots, Witherspoon came screaming off the edge, the ball popped loose, and Nwosu rumbled into the end zone. Eleven years of hurt, gone in one play.

The loudest fans on Earth. The 12s have twice set world records for stadium crowd noise, and in 2011 Lynch’s “Beast Quake” run literally registered on a seismograph near the stadium. Visiting teams don’t just play the Seahawks — they play the building.

This Season (2026): Defending the Crown

Champions always get every opponent’s best shot, and Seattle’s title defense sits at 3-3 through Week 7 — a Week 1 win over New England in the Kickoff rematch, wins over Arizona and the Chargers, and narrow losses to Washington, San Francisco and Denver. The NFC West race is a street fight: the 49ers are unbeaten, and Seattle likely needs to win the November 29 rematch at Levi’s Stadium to flip the division. With Darnold dealing, Smith-Njigba uncoverable and the Dark Side still hunting quarterbacks, nobody in the NFC wants to see this team in January.

Mark Your Calendar: Upcoming Games to Watch

Check the Seahawks schedule and grab Seahawks tickets early — these are the nights that will shape the repeat bid:

• October 25 — vs Kansas City Chiefs (Sunday Night Football): The game of the year at Lumen Field. Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III returns to Seattle — in a Chiefs uniform. Expect noise, emotion and a playoff atmosphere.
• November 2 — vs Chicago Bears (Monday Night Football): Primetime under the lights against a physical Bears team. Monday nights in Seattle are a spectacle.
• November 29 — at San Francisco 49ers: The division could turn on this one. Seattle lost the first meeting by three (32-29) — revenge at Levi’s Stadium is a must.
• December 7 — vs Dallas Cowboys (Monday Night Football): America’s Team walks into the loudest building in football. Good luck with that.
• December 25 — vs Los Angeles Rams (Christmas Day): The first Christmas Day game in franchise history, at home, against a division rival. A gift for the 12s.

Biggest Rivalries — The Wars

1. San Francisco 49ers — THE NFC West war. A decade-plus of hatred: the 2013 NFC Championship tip, the Legion of Boom vs. Harbaugh years, and now two title contenders trading haymakers twice a year.

2. Los Angeles Rams — The other division enemy. Sean McVay’s Rams have broken Seattle hearts more than once, and the Christmas Day meeting will be circled in red.

3. New England Patriots — the Super Bowl feud. XLIX’s goal-line nightmare, LX’s sweet revenge. Two Super Bowl meetings in eleven years have made this a genuine cross-country grudge.

4. Green Bay Packers — The Fail Mary, the 2014 NFC Championship comeback from 16-0 down. Whenever these two meet, chaos follows.
