Last Season: A Doubles Pair That Earned All-America Honors
Last season’s story, in the verified spring 2025 figures, was a partnership. Jack Loutit and Eli Stephenson earned ITA Doubles All-America honors together, with the pair ranked No. 12 nationally in doubles in 2025 — the kind of doubles strength that wins dual matches, because the doubles point sets the tone for everything that follows. Loutit backed it up in singles too, ranked No. 58 in ITA singles in spring 2025 and named Second Team All-SEC. Alongside them, senior singles contributor Jaden Weekes was ranked No. 78 in ITA singles in spring 2025 and earned All-SEC honors that season, and Weekes was on the 2025–26 roster. One honest note, kept front and center: those singles and doubles rankings are spring 2025 figures, not current rankings — they describe the season this trio made its name, not a claim about today’s list.
Best Players Right Now
Jack Loutit, Singles and Doubles Star — The lead name in this guide, and the most complete player in the trio. Loutit combined singles and doubles at a high level in spring 2025: ranked No. 58 in ITA singles, Second Team All-SEC, and an ITA Doubles All-American alongside Stephenson, with the pair ranked No. 12 nationally. When Kentucky needs a point, in either format, Loutit is the player this team has leaned on.
Eli Stephenson, Doubles Specialist and Star — The other half of Kentucky’s All-America doubles pair. Stephenson earned ITA Doubles All-America honors with Loutit in 2025, with the pair ranked No. 12 nationally — and he brings a home-state story with it, as a Kentucky native from Louisville. In a dual match, a doubles specialist like Stephenson is the quiet weapon: win the doubles point, and the whole afternoon tilts Kentucky’s way.
Jaden Weekes, Senior Singles Contributor — The senior presence in the lineup. Weekes was ranked No. 78 in ITA singles in spring 2025 and earned All-SEC honors that season, and he was on the 2025–26 roster. He is the trio’s proven SEC singles hand — the player who has already shown he can win matches in the toughest conference in college tennis.
Star Spotlight: Stories You Should Know
The pair that made the doubles point a weapon. Loutit and Stephenson did not just play doubles together — they earned All-America honors together, as a pair ranked No. 12 nationally in 2025. In college dual matches, where one doubles point can decide the day, a proven pair like that is worth its weight in Kentucky blue.
The Louisville kid playing for the home-state Cats. Stephenson is a Kentucky native from Louisville, playing for the state’s flagship program. Every home match in Lexington is a home-state story for him — and for Kentucky fans, there is nothing quite like cheering a homegrown player in blue and white.
Singles depth, not just one star. Kentucky’s verified spring 2025 story is not a one-man show: Loutit at No. 58 in singles, Weekes at No. 78 in singles and an All-SEC honoree, and the Loutit-Stephenson pair at No. 12 in doubles. That is a lineup with points available up and down the order — and that is what makes the Cats dangerous in SEC play.

This Season: Built Around a Proven Core
This season is built around a proven core, not a rebuild from scratch. The trio this guide follows — Jack Loutit, Eli Stephenson and Jaden Weekes — gives Kentucky a singles-and-doubles threat at the top, a home-state doubles star, and a senior singles contributor who has already earned All-SEC honors. Weekes was on the 2025–26 roster, and the spring 2025 rankings in this guide are the verified record of what this group achieved together. The colors have not changed, the motto has not changed, and the ambition has not changed — GO CATS means the same thing it always has. The question for this season is whether a team with a proven All-America doubles pair and two ranked singles players in its recent record can turn that foundation into SEC wins. On the evidence of spring 2025, the pieces are there.
Mark Your Calendar: The Road Ahead
Cats fans, one honest note on dates: no verified 2026 dual-match dates for Kentucky were published at the time of writing, so this guide will not guess at fixtures. When the program publishes its schedule, this page will be updated with every home date in Lexington. Until then, the surest way to follow the Cats is the official source below — and the surest way to show up for them is in Kentucky blue and white.
Biggest Rivalries — The Wars
1. The SEC gauntlet — Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee. Life in the SEC means there are no soft weeks. Georgia, Florida and Tennessee have long set the pace in conference tennis, and every dual match against the league’s powers is a measuring stick for where Kentucky stands. The Cats’ path runs straight through the best of the SEC — and that is exactly how Kentucky fans like it.
2. Louisville — the in-state clash. Kentucky against Louisville is the rivalry that defines the state, and tennis is no exception. Whenever the Cats and the Cardinals meet, the whole in-state edge comes with it — two Kentucky programs, two fan bases that never need a reason to get loud, and a match that matters beyond the standings. No past results are claimed here; the rivalry needs no scoreline to sell itself.
