🏈 Kansas City Chiefs Fans — Your Kingdom Is Waiting!
The Kingdom is 5-0, Mahomes is back from knee surgery, and the Super Bowl LX MVP is wearing red. Fly the red and gold, fill Arrowhead, and ride the revenge tour all the way to February.
The Club
The Kansas City Chiefs were founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans — a charter member of the AFL, built by Lamar Hunt, the man who coined the phrase “Super Bowl” himself. AFL champions in 1962, the team moved to Kansas City in 1963, took the Chiefs name, and has played at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium since 1972 — one of the loudest buildings in football, where the sea of red sets the standard for home-field advantage. This is a franchise of legends: Len Dawson, Derrick Thomas, Willie Lanier, Bobby Bell, Buck Buchanan, Tony Gonzalez and Jamaal Charles. Kansas City has won four Super Bowls — IV, LIV, LVII and LVIII — and five AFC championships. Searching for a Kansas City Chiefs jersey, the latest Chiefs schedule or Chiefs tickets? Start with the question the Kingdom asks every week: when do the Chiefs play — because in Kansas City, game day is a way of life.

Last Season (2025): The Year It All Fell Apart
Nobody saw it coming. The defending AFC champions went 6-11 in 2025, finished third in the AFC West behind 14-3 Denver, and watched a decade-long playoff streak die in Week 15. The burial came on December 14, 2025: a 16-13 home loss to the Chargers — and, far worse, Patrick Mahomes tearing the ACL and LCL in his left knee in the same game, with surgery two days later. The dynasty did not just miss the playoffs for the first time in the Mahomes era. It ended the season with its quarterback in an operating room and its crown in pieces.
Best Players Right Now (2026 Roster)
Patrick Mahomes, Quarterback (#15) — Back from knee surgery and dealing: 1,309 passing yards and 9 touchdowns through five games. The comeback is ahead of schedule.
Kenneth Walker III, Running Back (#9) — The Super Bowl LX MVP is now a Chief, and he leads the entire NFL in rushing — 665 yards at 133.0 a game, with 6 rushing touchdowns.
Travis Kelce, Tight End (#87) — Year 14, same security blanket. Kelce leads the team with 299 receiving yards and remains the man Mahomes trusts when a drive has to live.
Chris Jones, Defensive Tackle (#95) — The anchor of the defense. When Jones wins inside, the whole front eats.
Xavier Worthy, Wide Receiver (#1) — The WR1 — 206 receiving yards and a threat to take any catch the distance.
Rashee Rice, Wide Receiver (#4) — The other half of the young receiver duo that has defenses picking their poison again.
George Karlaftis, Defensive End (#56) — The edge engine opposite Jones. All motor, all game.
Nick Bolton, Linebacker (#32) — Team-high 48 tackles. The middle of this defense runs through Bolton.
Head coach: Andy Reid — Big Red has run the show since 2013, with Eric Bieniemy back running the offense in 2026 and Steve Spagnuolo pulling the strings on defense.
Star Spotlight: Stories You Should Know
The MVP who switched sides. In February, Kenneth Walker III won Super Bowl LX MVP for Seattle. In March, he signed a reported three-year deal with Kansas City. His Chiefs debut — 173 rushing yards, two touchdowns including a 60-yard score, 191 total yards against Denver — was the best by a Chiefs running back in years. On October 25, he walks back into Lumen Field wearing red.
Mahomes’ redemption arc. Ten months after tearing his ACL and LCL in the game that ended the dynasty’s playoff streak, Mahomes never missed a day of camp, sat out the preseason — and has Kansas City 5-0 with the NFL’s No. 1 offense at 414.0 yards a game. The 6-11 season is being answered in real time.
Kelce’s last dance? Travis Kelce, at 36, came back for a 14th season on a new deal when retirement talk was everywhere — and still leads this team in receiving. One more ring would make it four, won alongside Mahomes, in a rebuilt offense built to make sure the window never closed.

This Season (2026): The Kingdom Strikes Back
The answer to 6-11 is 5-0. Kansas City sits unbeaten on top of the AFC West — Denver beaten 31-10, Indianapolis outlasted 33-30 in overtime, Miami handled 24-10, Las Vegas edged 30-27, and the Chargers shut down 22-6 after the bye — and already owns wins over all three division rivals. This is the NFL’s No. 1 offense and No. 1 rushing attack (159.8 yards a game — the Walker effect), paired with a defense allowing just 16.6 points a night, second-best in football. Denver (4-2) is the only chaser with a pulse. The AFC runs through Arrowhead again — but the road hardens fast, starting Sunday night in Seattle.
Mark Your Calendar: Upcoming Games to Watch
Check the Chiefs schedule and grab Chiefs tickets early — these are the nights that will define the revenge tour:
- October 25 — at Seattle Seahawks (Sunday Night Football): The game of the year. Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker III returns to Lumen Field — in a Chiefs uniform. Expect noise, emotion and a playoff atmosphere.
- November 1 — at Denver Broncos: The AFC West title fight, part two. Denver’s only loss in its last six came against Kansas City — the Broncos will be desperate to return the favor at altitude.
- November 8 — vs New York Jets: A get-right afternoon at Arrowhead before the gauntlet, with the loudest crowd in football welcoming the Jets to the sea of red.
- November 26 — at Buffalo Bills (Thanksgiving night): Mahomes vs Allen under the lights on Thanksgiving. The AFC’s defining duel, served with the turkey.
- December 21 — vs New England Patriots (Monday Night Football): The Super Bowl LX runners-up come to Arrowhead for a primetime heavyweight fight two days before Christmas week peaks.
- December 27 — vs San Francisco 49ers: A Super Bowl LIV and LVIII rematch at Arrowhead to close the year. Kansas City has beaten this team for two rings — San Francisco has not forgotten either one.
Biggest Rivalries — The Wars
1. Las Vegas Raiders — the AFL-era blood feud. Hatred that dates to the 1960s, when these two defined the old AFL West. Still the nastiest rivalry in the division, and it closes the regular season at Arrowhead.
2. Denver Broncos — the crown fight. Denver took the West in 2025 at 14-3 and ended the streak. Kansas City took round one of 2026, 31-10. Round two on November 1 could decide the division.
3. Buffalo Bills — the Mahomes-Allen war. The playoff-era rivalry that keeps deciding the AFC. Every meeting feels like a conference championship, because so often it has been the road to one.
4. Cincinnati Bengals — “Burrowhead”. The AFC title-game clashes that gave Arrowhead a nickname Kansas City fans have never forgiven. The Chiefs visit Cincinnati on December 13 — expect fireworks.
